This all has to do with the company that you work for. Usually a travel nurse will build up their sick days and paid vacation on a per hour basis. Extra vacation days can come about when you do not use your sick days. Just remember, this is a short-term position so don't expect to have the same flexibility to take off shifts as a permanent employee.
