If travel nursing seems like something that could be of interest to you then you must first receive a nursing degree. It can take 2-4 years to obtain a registered nursing degree. Once you have obtained this you will need to pass the nursing boards or N-CLEX certification followed by working anywhere from one to three years in a hospital. It all depends on which facility you work in, because some facilities only require one year where as some 2-3 years. Depending on what specialty you are you can then browse jobs on Travel Nurse Source and you will be linked to a top nursing agency that will further you into the travel nursing profession. Updated physicals and specific immunizations will have to be taken in order to start a travel nursing job as well.
