If travel nursing seems like something that could be of interest to you then you must first receive a nursing degree. It can take 2-4 years to obtain a registered nursing degree. Once you have obtained this you will need to pass the nursing boards or N-CLEX certification followed by working anywhere from one to three years in a hospital. It all depends on which facility you work in, because some facilities only require one year where as some 2-3 years.
