Nurses that work 36-40 hours or more per week are considered to be full time workers. Typically nurses will work 8 hour, 10 hour, or 12-hour shifts. Those shifts can be 5-8 hour shifts, 4-10 hour shifts, or 3-12 hours shifts in a week's time. It varies each day which shift you will get with what hours.
