high paced work enviorment

high paced work, lots of overtime, trauma center, very close emergency room family well taken care of, some days are very sad and others are great.

Poductive place to work

I believe that this facility may not be sufficiently staffed, they make ways to benefit all staff. I learned different ways to be organized and to approach patient care.

Great co-workers,

Worked as NICU RNII. Called to deliveries that were c-sections to help stablize infants. Also admitted infants to the NICU for advanced care. Worked in Nursery for well babies helping with breast feeding and teaching new mom's how to care for their infants.

Do not seek employment with this hospital

RMC is owned by HCA, a for-profit hospital company. Unfortunately the administration's priority is to make money for shareholders vs. pt care. This is accomplished by providing staff with some of the poorest products on the market. Basic linens such as blankets are frequently in short supply.Administrators at this hospital do not respect their employees. Team work is frequently touted by administrators, yet the team is constantly being diminished. Long-time unit clerks are being laid off, there is barely enough house-keepers to keep the hospital clean (that's a whole other story) and rather than listen to employees concerns about the direction the facility is heading, more and more poor decisions regarding operations are made with little or no concern/consultation with the people the decisions will affect. Apply to this hospital at your own risk.
