Potential for Growth

Acute care environment. Medical Surgical, great learning/teaching atmosphere. The most enjoyable part of the job was the learning. It was my first job out of nursing school, and I was blessed to have worked with a lot of seasoned nurses who were as eager to teach as I was to learn. I learned a lot about team work, dedication, and drive as a nurse. It was a great experience. The hardest part of the job for me wasn't so much the job itself, but the balance. At the time I was a new nurse and a new mom, and being there long hours took a lot of time away from that.However, I am thankful for that experience and the opportunity there, working under the management and coworkers I worked alongside definitely taught me a lot.

My position as a LPN

This was my first place of employment as a licensed practical nurse. I gained a lot of experience from working at this hospital. My co-workers were some of the greatest people I ever met. They were a pleasure to work with. For the most part; we had a team approach. The hardest part of the job was having to deal with some of the most difficult attitudes of physicians. Although, I enjoyed my position because I always was able to learn something new everyday!

this company is not the place to be if you are looking to advavce

A typical day at work was answering the phone and scheduling the patients and then if we had to get the patient records from another doctors office, than we had to call the office, checking patients in and out, pulling charts to update the electronic medical record, prepare the charts for the week, file charts, order supplies, distribute the mail, assit the nurses in scanning in all the information that needs to be entered into the EMR. My coworkers and I had an awesome team relationship, I enjoyed the job because I got the chance to learn alot about the surgery field.
