Patient services coordinator

Got pertinent medical information on patients ready for physicians. Scheduled procedures for specialists. Checked patients in and out, entered patient demographics and medical information into computerto facilitate care of patients. I loved dealing with patients, nurses and physicians to make sure patients had the best care possible. The hardest part of my job was dealing with coworkers to get them to prioritize their duties.

Patient Assessment and Intervention Administer Blood Products and medications Documentation of Apheresis Procedures Administer Chemotherapeutic Medications Operation of Equipment to Perform Procedures Provides professional nursing care across practice settings and the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. Performs donor phlebotomy including whole blood and donor apheresis procedures Accept responsibility for patient safety of the Stem Cell Transplant services in clinical practice environment Evaluates donors for potential reactions and implements interventions to prevent such. Obtains informed consent.

Hard work

Very busy workplace you learn a lot of skills management was very diverse co workers could be horrible at times and the best part was knowing you satisfied the patients

Large, up to date pediatric unit

The pediatric unit was large. The diagnoses were varied and interesting. The hardest part of the job was getting back to back admissions and implementing doctor's orders rapidly when this occurred. A typical shift included admissions and discharges, starting IVs, administering meds and treatments, feeding babies and toddlers, and giving support to families. I enjoyed working with my fellow nurses, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and other staff.

PRN HR office assistant

This position offered an array of variety, working in various departments and clinics assisting clinic and hospital staff with tasks. Duties involved but not limited to answering phones, directing/assisting patients or guests with directions, parking, collecting co-pays, verifying insurance benefits. Managment in all departments were extremely helpful and offered assistance when needed. The drawback to this position was the lack of hours available.
