Travel Nurse RN - $2,640 per week in Bemidji, MN - General job duties. Types of procedures required. This nurse supervises stress test which include Bicycle Stress echo, Dobutamine stress echo, Treadmill Nuclear Stress and Lexiscan Stress without a physician present. They are responsible for running a safe test while monitoring the patients EKG, BP, exercise capacity, and symptoms. They need to know and understand the criteria for stopping the tests. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. EPIQ/Sectra for charting, Client Case 5500 for stress testing, BP, and IV pump Required skills and minimum years of experience. Must have expertise in supervising stress tests without a physician. It is preferred that they have had ER /Cath/ICU experience. Expert in reading 12 lead EKGs and stress testing EKGs. Understanding of Dobutamine and Lexiscan stress. Previous experience in running stress rooms without a physician present. Minimum 3 years of experience Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. BLS and ACLS - must be AHA. MN state RN license Shift or schedule requirements. Hours are Monday -Friday 0745 to 1615. Employee may be the only nurse at times. When this occurs the schedule is reduced. Floating to over units/departments. NA Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 2 stress rooms Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. May have 8 stress tests in a day. One every hour . Dress Code: Dark blue scrubs Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. The nurse would be oriented to the department/equipment/ medication and stress work flows. They will be tested/checked off on 15 to 25 stress tests with the current stress nurse before supervising on their own. They will also need to read 25, 12 lead EKGs with our physician.
