CVICU travel RN needed in Sanford, FL - Position Description TRAVEL CRITICAL CARE RN CVICU - COST CENTER (635) / NIGHTS Unit ProfileThe purpose of a unit profile is to provide an exceptional screenshot of the unit. Profiles should include unique details to assist recruiting professional in effectively and efficiently identifying highly qualified staff. Hospital: Central Florida Regional Hospital Location: Sanford, FL Address: 1401 West Seminole Blvd Unit: CVICU 635 Building: General Information Unit Specifics: Number of Beds : 12-beds Patient Ratios : 1-1, 1-2, 1-3 (depends on patient acuity) Unit staffing description- (Charge nurse typically out of the numbers, unit secretary available on most days, staff RNs) : Type of equipment : Phillips monitoring system, Edwards Hemosphere, Alaris IV pumps Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements: Rotating weekends (weekends are considered F, Sa, Sun) Floating policy: May be required to float outside of the department for hospital needs (e.g., ICU, step-down ICU, PCU) Patient Experience requirements: Exceptional bedside manner, able to communicate effectively with patients and families, able to multi-task and interact with other members of the interdisciplinary team. Hospital Specifics- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Cardiac / Intensive care experience required, experience with cardio-thoracic patients (e.g., STEMIs, CABG, VATs, Valves, Ablations, Vents, Vasopressos, and other medications/procedures typically found in a cardiac intensive care unit) Must have: FL RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Advanced skills needed: Able to safely care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, titrate vasoactive medications and other drips as required to maintain hemodynamic parameters and/or sedation requirements, competent in recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing advanced access devices (e.g., a-line, CVCs, Swan-ganz catheters, etc.), working in a team atmosphere, and working collaboratively with members of the interdisciplinary team. Procedures performed on unit: CABG, AVR, TAVR, Watchman, A-fib cardiac ablations, VATS, PCI with stent, Hemodynamic support with IABP and Impella devices, etc. Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Dress Code: (Required uniform) Navy scrubs Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.
