Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $1,656 per week in Coeur D Alene, ID - CVICU registered nurses (RNs), specialize in cardiac care, in an adult critical care unit providing comprehensive care for critically ill patients with a primary cardiac diagnosis. The CVICU RN performs intense monitoring of patients and cares for those requiring Intra-aortic balloon pumps, external temporary pacemakers and continuous renal replacement therapy. The CVICU RN may also work closely with the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to assist in quick diagnosis and treatment of patients requiring percutaneous coronary intervention for ST elevation myocardial infarction. CVICU RN responsibilities may also include responding to all cardiac and respiratory arrests in the hospital, assisting with immediate treatment of these critically ill patients. Travel Nurse RN - CVICU - $1,814 per week in Coeur D Alene, ID - Summary : * A Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) nurse provides nursing care to patients with critical heart conditions and issues. * A CVICU nurse are pivotal member of an emergency medical care team and must be able to use specialized skills to prevent disease, help patients recover from surgery, and stabilize critically injured patients. * Reports to the Supervisor of the Unit. Duties and Responsibilities * Efficient management of postoperative care for patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG, including off-pump CABG), cardiac valve repair/replacement (including minimally invasive approaches), surgical treatment of arrhythmias, aortic deficiency. * Proficient interpreting EKG and being part of a Cardiac Code Team. * Observe changes in their patients, analyze charts, change bandages, and communicate effectively with doctors and health care professionals. Education & Experience Requirements: * Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, with current licensure in good standing. * Evidence of current AHA BLS and ACLS required, TNCC preferred. * Evidence of current one year of CVICU experience.
