He/She will address the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. They will communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition, assist with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory, participate in performance improvement activities. The RN will assess operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtain supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met, monitor, position and assists patient during procedure. The RN Circulator provides services to age range from neonate to geriatricMonitors the patient and lets the surgeon know about any urgent concerns. Prepares the operating room and cleans the incision site on the patients. Assist with operating cardiopulmonary bypass machines and ensuring sterile procedures are followed.
