Travel Nurse RN in Indianapolis, IN - Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Description: Local rate rule: *** off the BR. ICU, PCU and M/S Peds and Adult RNs residing in the state of Indiana are considered local and will be accepted at the local rate*** First Time Travelers Accepted *** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract *** Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need *** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources. Certification Requirements: ACLS and BCLS; NIH Preferred Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Year Experience Telemetry - on unit monitoring IV insulin protocols and Tirtration of insulin drips Feeding tube care and management Pre/post hemodialysis management Blood product administration Monitoring Chemotherapy Heparin protocols Manage cardia drips - no titration External CPA/BiPAP High Flow Nasal Cannula Isolation Precautions Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided Staffing Ratios: 1:4 Unit Information: Medical PCU - almost ICU level acuity - multiple cardiac drips. Stable vents. Multi-organ failure, liver failure, pulmonary Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers . Declinations will not be accepted; however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's note provided.
