Veterans Administration Introduces Travel Nurse Corps
The practice of travel nursing has been introduced by the Veterans Administration in order to address staffing needs at VA facilities throughout the country. Called “Travel Nurse Corps,” this new project will allow nurses to take temporary assignments at VA facilities where they are needed. The program is administered internally and is based in Phoenix, AZ.
Many of the nurses participating in the program are attracted by the opportunity to spend time in different locations throughout the U.S. Others are attracted by compensation programs which can range from $25-$40/ hour. But all nurses seem to agree that it is a privilege to take care of those who have served our country as members of the armed forces.
