MORE ABOUT THE JOB: 2 years of hospital Infection Prevention experience with CIC preferred. Will be responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring and reporting healthcare-associated infections. The IP collaborates with the teams and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention strategies. The IP needs to meet all regulations (TJC, OSHA, state and local health depts) relative to infection control and prevention; while maintaining current standards of infection control practices. Education: Baccalaureate degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology or related field. This position may have contact with COVID-19 positive patients while rounding. Required to take call every third weekend. Certifications: BSN, MPH or related field plus CIC. Additional staff will be the first to float based on facility census and needs.
