Job Details: * 13 week assignment * 7:00am-5:30pm shift * 40 hours/week * Rotating call with staff * Weekly gross $2,640 Key Responsibilities: * Preoperative Assessment: Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to ensure patients are prepared for surgery, addressing any concerns or medical history issues. * Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, including passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and providing necessary equipment and supplies. * Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical experience, addressing any concerns or changes in the patient's condition promptly. * Sterile Technique: Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room, including proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control protocols. * Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with preoperative and postoperative education to ensure understanding and compliance with care plans. * Documentation: Accurately document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards. * Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth flow of surgical procedures. * Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations during surgery, including code situations, while maintaining composure and following established protocols. * Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper functioning and availability of surgical equipment and instruments, reporting any malfunctions or deficiencies promptly.
