Patient ratios are 4:1 on grid and 5:1 when stretched. Equipment used includes IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts. The electronic medical record system is Cerner. Candidates with neuro and trauma care experience are preferred. Typical procedures performed include neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, feeding tube placements, and blood transfusions. The ideal candidate will be a team player and patient-focused. Floating will occur to stepdown and med-surg units. Every other weekend is required.
