Internship Student

I work with others as team players, work under pressure long hours. I was a Internship student working long hours in my Spring Semester job for four months got along with the co-workers helping and learning more material in cisco, switches, routers, configuration, troubleshooting, networking administrators. I would go to with a co-workers to a patient's room to have wireless access on their laptop to be use the Internet.

MMC did not allow for professional or personal growth

I worked for McAllen Heart Hospital (MHH) when McAllen Medical Center (MMC) acquired MHH in March 2001. MMC held a lot of bad feelings towards MHH and did not want MHH to become a part of their organization. Due to these feelings, MMC did not allow for any opportunity for advancement or leadership roles during the time I was employed with them. Management positioned me as Assistant Director of Quality and hired a person with no quality experience as the Director and then told me to train her to be a Quality Director. The staff I worked with in the Quality Department were great and enjoyed my time with them and enjoyed my time training the new Quality Director inspite of the intent of senior leadership at that time.

95%

This place made me a well rounded Labor and Delivery room nurse where I became a staff nurse to charge nurse. They also provided the same benefits just like RGRH/HCA although RGRH provides better 401k percentage depending on years you work for the company as well as medical insurance. I do love McAllen Medical Center too and would not mind working with them again. I appreciate the place forever.
