Description: As an integral member of the Nursing Leadership team, the RN Wound Ostomy Specialist acts as a resource person, consultant, educator and facilitator by collaborating with the entire Health Care Team for the prevention of pressure ulcers, providing expert consultative services related to ostomy care and other wound or skin integrity problems. The RN Wound Ostomy Specialist also provides clinical, educational and emotional support as appropriate to patients of all ages and their families related to ostomy care and skin integrity prevention and problems.
